This policy explains the small number of cookies and similar technologies (such as browser local storage) used by Common Ground UK, and why each one is needed. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.

Strictly necessary

These are essential for the platform to work and cannot be switched off. They do not require your consent under UK law.

Supabase auth sessionIf you create an account and sign in, a secure token is stored so you remain signed in between visits.Until you sign out, or expires automatically

Analytics

We may use privacy-first analytics that do not use cookies and do not track you across other websites, to understand overall traffic to the platform (for example, how many people visited a page). This data cannot be used to identify you and does not require consent.

What we do not use

No advertising or marketing cookies
No third-party tracking pixels
No cross-site tracking of any kind
No cookies that build a profile of you for advertising purposes

Managing cookies

Because the items listed above are strictly necessary for the platform to function, there is no consent banner. If you clear your browser's local storage or cookies, your anonymous session identifier will be reset and you may be asked questions you have already voted on.

Most browsers let you view, manage, and delete cookies and local storage through their settings. Doing so may affect how the platform works for you.

Changes to this policy

If we introduce any new cookie or tracking technology, particularly anything that is not strictly necessary, we will update this page and, where required by law, ask for your consent first.
